Excellence Riviera Cancun is one of those resorts that surprises you from the moment you arrive. The hacienda-inspired architecture is gorgeous — think terracotta tones, lush tropical gardens, and six meandering pools that wind through the whole property like a lazy river.
This is adults-only all the way, and the vibe is pure relaxation with a touch of polish. What sets Excellence apart is the sheer amount that's included: eleven restaurants, premium spirits, a well-stocked minibar refreshed daily, and even a lobster house where — yes — the lobster is included. No wristbands, no reservations required at most restaurants, and the Excellence Club upgrade takes it to another level with a private lounge, dedicated pool area, and L'Occitane toiletries.
The Miilé Spa is beautiful, the beach is calm and swimmable, and the whole place is only about 18 minutes from Cancún airport. If you want an adults-only resort that quietly over-delivers without the mega-resort price tag, Excellence Riviera Cancun is it.
